Here I will provide my life-choice memoir assignment and links to the relevant blog posts that have helped me on my writing process. A life-choice memoir as a creative nonfiction genre is a "true story well told". When first given the assignment of writing a memoir about a big life-choice in my life, I knew what it would be. The biggest decision I have made so far in my life that has caused strong and untested emotions before, leaving of my family and my homeland. Three previous life-choice blogs helped me to understand how to treat my paper and how to start my life-choice memoir. Relying on the way Hemingway starts the story Hills Like White Elephant, I got inspired by him to start the story in the middle, not using the usual way of a story with introduction, elaboration and the end, but entering directly in the dialog trying to make it more interesting to readers. When I started this assignment I was confused at how to start it, and which was the culminating moment to launch it to attract the attention of the reader.I had to struggle with the weight of the emotions that appeared with the same force as at that moment when it happened and on the other hand, I had to describe every word and every feeling to pass it onto the reader with the same emotion I had experienced in those moments. I had difficulty to describe the fullness of feelings through words. I used free writing method to express all my thoughts without criticizing them, and after I had a lot information about the story I revised it.
